User Accounts and Registration

• License Grant: By submitting input content, you grant MusicGist a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and use such content to generate insights for you and to improve our services.

Generated Content and Intellectual Property

The following terms apply to content generated using MusicGist:

Content Ownership

• User-Generated Pages: Public pages created from your queries are accessible via shareable URLs.
• Fact vs. Expression: MusicGist generates insights about music; the underlying facts about artists and songs remain publicly known information.
• AI Limitations: Generated content is provided for discovery and reference purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any generated information.

Usage Rights

• Free Users: May use generated insights for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Logged-in Users: May save history, bookmark favorites, and manage their insights collection.
• Attribution: We appreciate but do not require attribution when sharing MusicGist content.

Platform License Rights

To provide and improve our services, you grant MusicGist:

• The right to use, store, copy, and process the input content you submit
• The right to use generated content to improve our AI models (after anonymization)
• The right to display generated content examples in promotional materials (unless you explicitly object)

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities while using MusicGist:

• Using our services to spread misinformation about artists or music
• Attempting to generate content that is defamatory, libelous, or harmful to individuals or groups
• Using the service to generate content containing hate speech, violent content, or other illegal material
• Interfering with or disrupting the security or performance of the service
• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise obtain the underlying technology of our AI models
• Using automated tools to bulk generate content to circumvent usage limits

• Losses due to generated content not meeting expectations

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MusicGist, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, content you submit, or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MusicGist operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.
